Winning portrait for Archibald 2016

Love, love, love this years Archibald winning portrait. Australian icon Barry Humphries painted by first time Archibald entrant (yes you heard it right – FIRST TIME!!!) Louise Hearman. Some artists just nail it.Hearman_SID61276_6Jul_2560px

Digital murals. Very cool.

Interactive digital murals that move when you do. Imagine walking past the falling petals of the cherry blossom – it would surely be stress reducing don’t you think? Nice work by multidisciplinary design firm, ESI Design.

Innovative, or a sad sign of the times?

Probably both that a city in Germany found it necessary to embed traffic lights in the road at pedestrian crossings. Why? To assist those of us too glued to our devices to ever bother looking upwards at the ‘normal’ crossing lights!
