According to American artist Gwenn Seemel, it’s definitely something to let go of.
Love, love, love this years Archibald winning portrait. Australian icon Barry Humphries painted by first time Archibald entrant (yes you heard it right – FIRST TIME!!!) Louise Hearman. Some artists just nail it.
My friend and former colleague Sally Hutchinson, has quietly been producing this gorgeous work for a number of years now. Living thousands of kilometres apart, I often check her blog to see what she’s up to and am constantly in awe of how prolific she is, how beautiful, and how considered, her work is. Kind of rightful to share it don’t you think?
This work is from 2014, however she has more recently taken a different direction – which I also love – that you can check out here.
Thomas Dambo is an artist/designer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Together with his crew he creates fabulously fun projects, out of ‘trash’ – like our troll here. Talk about taking ‘upcycling’ to gigantic proportions! Found on Contemporist, see how he was made here.
I know that everyone is creative and that we all have our different means of expressing it but paleeease, check out this inspirational multi-disciplinary creative; Nadia Hernandez. She was interviewed yesterday on The Design Files and I just had to investigate and share. Great stuff! I particularly love her bold colour work and her gorgeous little logos. You can check them out here.
